HOPAX’s Science-Based Emissions Reduction Targets Validated by SBTi

HOPAX’s science-based emissions reduction targets have recently been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

In response to global climate change and the transition toward net zero, HOPAX continues to assess greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its operations and supply chain, providing a solid foundation for its ongoing emissions reduction efforts.

2030 Emissions Reduction Targets

With 2022 as the base year, HOPAX has established the following GHG emissions reduction targets for 2030:

• Scope 1 & 2: Reduce GHG emissions by 46.32%
• Scope 3, Category 1: Reduce GHG emissions by 50%

Integrating Emissions Reduction into Daily Operations

To achieve these targets, HOPAX facilities conduct ongoing GHG inventories in accordance with local regulatory requirements and the Group’s management strategies. By identifying and monitoring key emission sources and volumes, HOPAX establishes a reliable basis for developing and implementing emissions reduction initiatives.Progress is incorporated into the Company’s management processes and regularly reviewed and reported at management and ESG meetings to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of emissions reduction measures.Beyond management systems, HOPAX also encourages employees to participate in emissions reduction initiatives through internal incentive programs. These include reward programs for carbon reduction improvements and research and development initiatives, encouraging employees to propose improvements in areas such as manufacturing processes, energy efficiency, and technology development. Through these efforts, emissions reduction is increasingly integrated into HOPAX’s day-to-day operations.
